Boston 67, American 64: Postgame press conference

Head coach Mike Brennan spoke after American fell 67-64 to Boston U, dropping the Eagles to 5-19, 2-11 in the Patriot League. Full video above and select quotes below.

"Obviously losing is rough but I saw a lot of progress tonight. That makes me optimistic for tomorrow's practice, next two practices and going forward."

ON BOSTON U POSSSESSION WITH 4.2 LEFT WHERE NO FOUL CALLED
"We tried to foul right away and they didn't call it. Not that it was a bad call. We might not have fouled — I'm not complaining."

ON GOING TO MATCHUP ZONE DOWN THE STRETCH
"They looked like they were getting comfortable. They were scoring — they were getting 3s and 2s against the man to man. So to mix it up, we thought, go zone. We've been working on it a little bit. We got a couple stops out of it, but they got a big offensive rebound out of one (possession)."

ON WHAT CHARLIE AND JALEN HAVE PROVIDED
"We can't ask for better leadership from those two guys, from all our seniors with Y.Y. and Leon."

ON WHAT HE'S LOOKING FOR IN LAST FIVE GAMES
"Just keep getting better in all aspects, not specifics."
